This Privacy Policy explains how Portfolio Manager (the “App”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the App. By using the App you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
- Account information. We use Firebase Authentication to sign you in. Depending on how you sign in, we receive a unique account identifier and, if you link an account, your email address and display name from your Google or Apple sign-in.
- Portfolio data. The holdings, transactions, and watchlists you add to the App so we can compute and display your portfolio.
- Technical data. Basic device and usage information (such as app version and error logs) needed to operate and maintain the service.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide core features: portfolios, watchlists, and live market prices.
- To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
- To operate, maintain, debug, and improve the App.
3. Market Data
Market prices and instrument data are sourced from third-party market data providers. This data is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute financial advice or a recommendation to buy or sell any security.
4. Third-Party Services
We rely on the following service providers to run the App:
- Google Firebase — authentication.
- Supabase — database hosting for your account and portfolio data.
- Market data provider(s) — real-time and historical price data.
Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy. We do not sell your personal information.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account and portfolio data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see Contact below), after which we delete it within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.
6. Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and stored with access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above when we do.
